The Journey to Willow Hills V1

Building His House. Building Our Future. Building Together.

‍

As we begin a new liturgical year, we also begin an exciting new chapter in the life of St. George. With our new home at Willow Hills now becoming a reality, there is a lot happening—and a lot to be excited about and thankful for. We want everyone in our parish to be part of the journey, so this is an introduction to The Journey to Willow Hills, a twice-monthly update from GOCART—the Greek Orthodox Church Acquisition and Renovation Team.

Through these updates, we’ll share what’s happening, the progress we’re making, the milestones we’re reaching, what’s coming next and what opportunities are available to get involved. From completing our remaining commitments related to the purchase, preparing our current church and the Rosser St. property for sale, getting Willow Hills ready for worship, finding a future tenant for the school and gym, bringing our “Living Stones” capital campaign to life, and planning our move, there is plenty to do.

And there is a place for everyone. Our hope is that these updates will not only keep you informed, but also inspire you to find your place in this incredible journey. As we work together to prepare this new home, we pray that God will also build something within us—a deeper faith, a more generous heart, and an even stronger St. George family.
