Building His House. Building Our Future. Building Together.

Purchase & Sale

  • The volunteer work party held on Saturday, September 26th at Gurley St. was a huge success thanks to the tireless work of almost 40 volunteers who took on any and every job to prepare our current church campus for sale. Thank you to all who participated, we couldn’t have done this without you!
  • Speaking of Gurley St., the campus is now officially listed for sale. If you’re interested, you can view the property listing at the following link: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/607-609-W-Gurley-St-Prescott-AZ/42449199/
  • We recently signed a contract to have the roof replaced at Gurley St.; much of the cost is being covered by insurance due to past hail damage. This will enhance the marketability of our campus with prospective buyers.

Willow Hills

  • We held our first services at Willow Hills on Saturday, October 3rd where we celebrated both a Thanksgiving Liturgy and a Founder’s Memorial. Approximately 180 people were in attendance – worshiping together under one roof and giving thanks for God’s gifts. It was a truly blessed day where we welcomed back some of our fellow parishioners who we had not seen in far too long while also attracting newcomers who we hope to see again. Everyone in attendance agreed that they could feel Christ in our midst; and we all saw a glimpse of the bright and beautiful future which stands before us.
  • After the service and an incredible agape meal, we held a tour of the campus for those who had not yet seen the opportunities Willow Hills has to offer. Many of those who came on the tour filled out volunteer cards which resulted in 22 volunteers stepping forward to help GOCART with the transition from Gurley St. to Willow Hills. Thank you, in advance, to those who volunteered – we will be in touch.
  • Work has begun to identify, interview and hire an established Orthodox church architect to develop a conceptual master plan for the interior and exterior of the worship and fellowship spaces (Building A).
  • We’ve finalized the contract for the replacement of three roofs on Buildings A, B and C at the Willow Hills campus. The photos below show the shingle color chosen (with input from a renowned Orthodox church architect) and a rendering of that shingle on our buildings. It’s going to be stunning and a great first step in beautifying the campus.
  • More good news. The HVAC replacement work at Willow Hills is now complete.

“Living Stones” Campaign

We’re preparing to launch our Living Stones capital campaign—a wonderful opportunity to grow our parish and share the beauty of our Orthodox faith throughout Northern Arizona.

We all have a part to play in this exciting new chapter. Through our prayers, time, talents, service, and generosity, each of us can help bring this vision to life. Together, we’ll create a welcoming home for our parish family, a beacon for those seeking Christ and a place where future generations can grow in faith.

In the weeks and months ahead, we’ll share more about our vision, our progress, and the many ways everyone can be part of this journey. With God’s guidance, we look forward to all that we can accomplish together.
